Tax Controversies and Litigation:

 Tax controversies arise in many different forums, from audits to administrative appeals, to trial and appellate courts. Mr. Blyth represents individuals and businesses in tax controversies, whether at the local, state or federal level, including handling California income, property and sales tax matters. He has significant experience in all facets of tax controversies and litigation, having successfully handled audits, fast-track (and standard) Appeals before the Appeals Division of the IRS, and trial and appellate litigation. Mr. Blyth has successfully litigated many cases in the United States Tax Court and in the U.S. District Court. In addition to interning with the Internal Revenue Service and Franchise Tax Board while attending law school, Stan has over 14 years of experience handling tax controversies.
